Robyn Macklin

Midnight Orchid Mahjong brings American Mahjong lessons, guided play, private events, and Mahjong community to North County San Diego. I’m Robyn Macklin, owner and instructor of Midnight Orchid Mahjong. I teach beginners how to understand the NMJL card, learn the rules, build confidence, and actually enjoy playing the game. I offer beginner lessons in my Valley Center home, mobile lessons for private groups, and classes and Mahjong events at venues in Escondido, Vista, and Torrey Highlands (Camino Del Sur) My goal goes beyond teaching the rules — I want my students to become confident players and find people to play with. That’s why I also offer Guided & Open Play opportunities where players can practice, socialize, and build their Mahjong community. Come learn the game. Find your table. Find your people. 🀄
