Robin Droegemeier

My Mahjong journey began in 2015 when I took a park and recreation class on Mahjong with a friend. I quickly fell in love with this challenging, social, and wonderfully addicting game. Not long after learning to play, life too me away from the community I had so welcomely become a part of to an area where no one knew what Mahjong was. Determined to keep playing, I realized the best way to build a local Mahjong community was to teach others the game I love so much. I began teaching in 2017 and have been sharing my love of the game ever since. Over the years, I have taught plyers of all ages-from children learning their first hands to senior citizens discovering a new favorite past time at the local senior center. My classes focus on American Mahjong as defined by the National Mahjongg League (NMJL) rules and annual card. Whether you are a complete beginner or someone looking for a community to connect with, to build and strengthen your skill and confidence at the table, my goal is to create a welcoming, encouraging environment where everyone can learn, laugh and enjoy the game. There is nothing more rewarding than helping new players discover the strategy, friendship, and excitement that have made Mahjong such a cherished part of my life. I look forward to sharing this amazing, yet at times frustrating game with you.
