Karen Gracey

Portland, Oregon

Hi, I'm Karen Gracey I'm the founder of Gracey Tile Club PDX, where I help people across the Portland metro discover the joy of American Mahjong through beginner lessons, weekly Open Play, private events, and a growing community of players. I created Gracey Tile Club PDX because Mahjong is about so much more than a game. It's about building confidence, creating friendships, and finding a place where you belong. Whether you're sitting down for your very first lesson or joining a table of seasoned players, my goal is to help you learn with confidence in a fun, beautiful, and welcoming environment. I teach the official National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) rules and card, with a structured approach that helps beginners quickly recognize patterns, build strategy, and feel at home at the table. My students don't just learn the rules, they leave ready to play. You'll find beautiful tables, supportive instruction, and a community that loves to learn, laugh, and play together. Learn Fast. Laugh Often. Play Beautifully. Because There's Always a Seat at My Table.
