Well hello! I am one of 12 Nationally Certified AMJA American Mahjong instructors and certified by Michelle Frizell and Debbie Barnett. I am would be honored to introduce you to the game of Siamese Mahjong. It really is a wonderful way to have fun, strengthen your mind and increase connection with others. If you have never played and would like to start from scratch, this is the class for you. If you are a beginner and perhaps just watched someone play, this is the class for you. Need a refresher? I offer those as well. LOVE all things Siamese Mahjong! ❤️ (same as Mahjong with minor difference-many enjoy playing both!) We learn the official National Mahjong League rules. (as opposed to house rules or how a certain group plays. I break it into bite size pieces and help make it much easier to digest and understand. What is the difference between American Mahjong and Siamese Mahjong? Same rules-same card-same tiles-but 2 sets of tiles and twice as fun! (Siamese is easier to learn and enables a solid Mahjong foundation for any version) In Siamese MJ you get your tiles and PLAY. (In American Mahjong there is a "Charleston" where at least 9 tiles-sometimes 21, tiles are traded at the start of the game) Please reach out for more information.
