Daniela Garduño

I’m Daniela, a Houston based American Mahjong instructor who has been teaching since 2020. I originally learned on my own and started teaching friends so I would have a group to play with. That small table quickly grew into full lessons, birthday parties, corporate events, and a vibrant community of women who now host their own games. My teaching style is clear, structured, and very practical. I break the game down step by step so it actually makes sense. We focus on understanding the card, building strategy, mastering the Charleston, and practicing real game play. I want you to leave not just knowing the rules, but feeling confident sitting at any table. My lessons are organized but relaxed. We laugh, ask questions, and talk through decisions out loud. I repeat the important concepts in simple ways until everything clicks. No intimidation, no gatekeeping, just a supportive environment where you can truly learn. I bring everything needed, including tiles, racks, dice, and my own easy to follow cheat sheets to take home. I teach in English or Spanish and work with beginners, refresher players, private groups, and tournaments. My goal is simple: confident players who genuinely enjoy the game and feel ready to build their own Mahjong community.
