Overview
Originally founded as Mah Jongg Madness® in December 1985 by Dorothy and Larry Krams, the organization established American mah jongg tournament standards when they jointly conducted the first annual Mah Jongg Tournament at Sea with the NMJL in 1986. Gladys Grad joined in 2005 and became the driving force, dubbed 'the Grand Master of American Mah Jongg' by the Chicago Tribune. The tournament division was purchased by Mah Jongg Fever in 2021, and the organization was renamed Mah Jongg Masters®. Today MJM no longer organizes tournaments and primarily publishes the Siamese Mah Jongg card, a variant created by Gladys Grad.
